About Laura
A highly experienced project manager with a background in both private and public sector healthcare, since joining PropCare, Laura has played a pivotal role in the delivery of a huge number of projects. From high profile design and build schemes, to refurbishments, repairs and contract variations, her impressive technical expertise and understanding of the sector make her a true asset both to PropCare and its clients.
Beginning her healthcare journey back in 2008, she joined global property services giant, Serco, as a Project Coordinator before making the move to The Clatterbridge Cancer IM&T Department just over 5 years later, becoming PropCare’s first project manager in 2015.
On a day to day basis, Laura oversees the delivery of a range of projects and variations, from initial enquiry right through to project inception and completion. Her superb organisational and communication skills help to ensure that all projects are delivered in line with our clients’ expectations, with clear stakeholder engagement and robust budgetary and compliance being experienced throughout.
A key member of PropCare’s project team for the construction of Liverpool’s all-new Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, Laura was involved in all aspects of the project, from initial design right through to commissioning, providing a valuable link for clinical staff consultation and delivering a facility designed to meet the requirements of both staff and patients. On completion of this £157m, 110-bed project, she went on to support a number of improvement variations within the Clatterbridge Trust, including the provision of managed healthcare services through the commissioning and mobilisation of the Paddington Clinical Diagnostic Centre.
Key responsibilities
- Liaising with and reporting to PropCare’s leadership and senior management
- Ensuring compliance to all relevant standards, obligations and guidance
- Allocating and controlling budgets, resource and programme
- Monitoring actual performance against contract expectations
- Monitoring quality assurance throughout all stages of the project
- Acting as the interface between the client, our delivery partners, and PropCare’s leadership
